Final Update for 2010
Christmas is over and New Years looms on the near horizon. All in all I must say 2010 hasn’t been that bad a year (compared to 2009 which sucked completely for me). As is the hope at the end of every year, I hope next year is even better. In 2011 my flying goals are pretty ambitious.
- BFR
- Tail Wheel endorsement
- Complete RV7 Empanage
- Start Wings
- Attend AirVenture for the first time
Ambitious, but certainly not out of the realm of possibility. Starting the RV7 Empanage should hopefully happen in January. I’d like to get my BFR this spring. I have a plan for that, but have to talk to the guy that I want to do the instruction, first.
I do have an addition to my shop. I built a standard EAA-1000 table with a few modifications. I made it 64″x40″ and it fits into a spot in my garage perfectly. I went with 5/8″ MDF for the surface, too. It was quite a bit cheaper, so we’ll see how that works out.
From the scraps of MDF I was able to put together a smaller table for the DRDT2. I modified it a bit from the original drawings. I beefed it up in a few spots, but basically it is what the directions called for.
See you in 2011, and here’s to a happy and prosperous new year!
