SportAir – August in Waco

August 16, 2010

Everyone busy bulding their section of an airfoil.

Holy Smoke!  It was hot this weekend at McGregor Executive Airport in Texas.  McGregor is a few miles west of Waco Texas.  The low 100’s made this workshop a bit more challenging than any of us would have preferred.  The class was most helpful for us.  Having never picked up a rivet gun in my life, the class was able to convey that I can make nice rivets. It isn’t nearly as intimidating as it was before.  The class is two days and you build two projects.  the first project consists of a piece of angle and two small sheets of aluminum.  The second one is an airfoil.  The instructor was very knowledgeable and I really enjoyed our time.  If you know nothing about building an RV and are looking for a place to start….this is it.
